1) GENERAL FURNITURE CARE
Do not use indoor furniture for outdoor purpose. Please
be aware that prolonged exposure of furniture to direct
sunlight will cause fabric, leather to fade, timber
to warp or crack. Direct sunlight includes sunlight
through a window, use curtains or blinds to protect
your furniture.
Do not place furniture too close to a heater or air
conditioning vent as this may distort the material or
surface finish. Avoid continual exposure in a damp or
wet environment as that will affect the longevity of
furniture.
Always lift furniture when moving it around and never
drag. Do not sit on the arm of a sofa or chair, do not
stand or jump on the seat. Do not rock on the back of
the chair because that may weaken the structure and
possibly cause joint failure.
2) LEATHER UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE CARE
Leather is a natural product. Because of this there
may be markings and slight variations of leather on
the sofa. These markings and slight variations are simply
natural characteristics of leather which represents
a true distinction between natural product and synthetic
coverings. Regularly wipe dust off the leather with
a soft, damp cloth. Periodically (3-6 times per year),
clean the leather surface with a soft, damp cloth in
a mild solution of natural soap and warm water. Alternatively,
you can purchase a leather cleaning kit from Beyond
Furniture. A certain amount of softening of cushions
is to be expected over time. This may cause the seat
cushions to alter slightly in shape; it is merely the
filling adjusting to your usage. It is normal wear and
tear.
3) FABRIC UPHOLSTERED FURNITURECARE
Rotate cushions regularly to even the wear and fading.
If a thread becomes loose on the fabric, simply cut
it off, do not pull it. Avoid harsh brushing and sharp
objects (rings, buckles, toys) as it will cause snagging
of threads. Use fabric Care Kit, Guardsman Spray recommended
by Beyond Furniture to protect your lounge suite coverings.
Dust is best removed using your vacuum cleaner with
the appropriate attachment. Fabrics differ in properties;
follow the unique care and cleaning instructions labeled
on your fabric furniture.
4) LACQUERED AND TIMBER VENEER FURNITURE CARE
Natural timber and veneer finishes will show distinctive grains, patterns and colour variations which are evidence of being produced from genuine timber materials. Always use protective heat coverings to protect against hot objects. Always use coasters when placing glasses, bottles, or cups on the surface. Clean stains and liquid spills immediately, they can permanently bond with furniture if allowed to soak in. Our furniture surface can be cleaned with 5% detergent and 95% water mix, and then clean with water, dry it with cloth. Because the veneer surface coating is Italian acrylic painting, we don’t recommend any polish for that.
5) ALUMINIUM LEGS AND GLASS TOP FURNITURE CARE
Beyond Furniture uses Anodized Aluminium which prevents
oxidation and corrosion, which leaves aluminium alloy
brighter and new through ages. Dust the surface regularly
to avoid build up of pollutants. Avoid contact with
sharp or hard objects as this will cause scratching
of the surface.
Satinato Glass: The Italian new technology in glass
surface treatment, which is a new revolution of the
glass industry. It resists scratching and breaking and
can be used both sides. With frosted glass it is important
to avoid greasy or dirty items to come into contact
with the frosted side, it may leave marks that are difficult
to remove.
Tempered Glass: Beyond Furniture uses tempered glass
which is 7 times stronger than that of ordinary clear
glass. It is strong and safe.
Use a regular glass cleaner with an appropriate soft
cloth to clean the glass. Avoid contact with sharp or
hard objects as this may cause scratching.
6) FURNITURE ASSEMBLING
It is important to ensure the furniture is installed
properly as per the procedures and instructions provided
by our factory. Professional assembling is highly recommended;
wall mounting and hanging items should be installed
by licensed builders or tradesman.
